Last updated: [07 January 2020]

Summary:

I respect the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and this policy explains how I collect and treat any information you give me through this website. You won’t find any complicated legal terms or long passages of unreadable text. I’ve no desire to trick you into agreeing to something you might later regret.

This policy covers

Why I value your privacy

I value your privacy as much as I do my own, so I'm committed to keeping your personal and business information safe. I'm uncomfortable with the information companies, governments, and other organisations keep on file, so I ask for only the bare minimum from my website customers. I’ll never use your personal information for any reason other than why you gave it, and I’ll never give anyone access to it unless I'm forced to by law.

How I collect information

I ask for contact information including your name and email address on this website so that I can reply to your enquiry.

This website uses cookies to handle your current session state. This is default code built into the .net framework which is used by this website's content management system. I don't track any personal information from cookies. This website does have Google Analytics on it to help me track how well my blog posts are performing. I do not export any of this information for later use. Some third party plugins will also include separate cookies for which I am not responsible for.

What I use your information for

The information supplied is used to contact you in relation to the query you included in your original communication to me.

Who’s responsible for your information

Richard Reddy, is responsible for the security of your information. You can contact me by email using my contact form if you have any concerns about the information I'm storing.

Who has access to information about you

As this is a personal blog, I'm the only person who has access to the information supplied by you. This information is not passed onto any other party.

The steps I take to keep your information private

Any information supplied to me will be kept on my Outlook email program for 6months. During this time, your information will not be supplied to another third party. After this time the information will be automatically deleted.

How to complain

I take complaints very seriously. If you’ve any reason to complain about the ways I've handled your privacy, please contact me by email using my contact form.
